League seasons run from August to May, with the 18 teams contesting 34 matchdays (17 home games and 17 away games). The league winner, along with the two next best-placed teams, takes part in the Levantine Champions League, with teams from fourth through sixth place entered into the Gothic Cup. Frehmenwerther Kickers, the current champions, have won more titles than any other club, but the league has been won by a wide variety of the 81 teams ever to compete in it.
