The first edition of the Tierrador Players Championship was founded in 1887, after members of the Taisgol Country Club challenged the members of the newly-built Gadsden Golf Course to a four-man scramble. Eventually, this match would become the Golfers State of Origin (now known as the Origin Championship), the de facto championship match for the TPC. TPC usually runs week-to-week professional golf events from August to January, for a total of 22 events. Some of the most notable events include the Origin Championship (which rotates between the Taisgol Country Club and the Ambel Lakes Country Club in Louis Parish, Taisgol), the Taisgol Open in Downtown Taisgol, the Orixtal Championship in Porvaos, the VTBC Cup in Qabór, and the TerraCola Open in Santiago.
