Kingsvale is a province of Urcea. Kingsvale sits at the fringe between the Urcean regions of the frontier, Gassavelia, and Greater Canaery, though by culture it is largely considered part of the latter region.
Unlike many other parts of the arid Urcean frontier transformed into arable land during the 19th century, Kingsvale was mostly settled by Caenish and Gassavelian people from the adjoining regions rather than by Valley-born Ómestaderoi. Accordingly, it took on a significantly different cultural and political character than the other frontier provinces.

Kingsvale has a unique political landscape shaped by its Caenish and Gassavelian heritages. The province nominally leans heavily towards the Solidarity Party, with all four of its Conshilía Purpháidhe seats going to Solidarity in the 2025 Urcean elections and the province voting for Solidarity's Livio Iarnán 60% to 39% in the 2030 procuratorial election. Both Caens and Gassavelians heavily support Solidarity here as in neighboring regions. However, the party is deeply divided between Kingsvaleyards of Caenish and Gassavelian ancestry, with the Caens in western Kingsvale having significantly divergent concerns and interests than the Gassavelians of eastern Kingsvale. Accordingly, party members in the center of the country and other crossover areas are deeply embittered, with party committee primary fights being regularly fought every five years. Candidates who lose provincial legislative nominations in the center of the country often run as independents in order to weaken the other faction's candidate. Accordingly the National Pact has a majority in both houses of the provincial legislature despite it being a minority party in most respects of the word. Additionally, the Pact is making gains among the more heavily Urceanized suburban voters of the province, who polls show are deeply disturbed by the inter-party tensions in the provincial Solidarity Party, and Kingsvale may be more competitive in the future than it has been in the first part of the 21st century.
