The Royal Marine Corps is the maritime land force of Urcea, a part of Armed Forces of the Apostolic Kingdom of Urcea.
The Marines were established by the Naval Quartering Act of 1591, the act which established the modern Royal Navy; the Act provided for marine forces aboard ships of the new fleet for their defense. Accordingly, the Marine Corps, while serving as a separate uniformed branch, is under the administrative auspices of the Navy.
