The Cartadanian Capitol (Cartadanian: Capitólio Cartadaniano), often called The Capitol or the Capitol Building (Cartadanian: O Capitólio), is the meeting place of the National Congress and the seat of the legislative branch of the federal government of Cartadania. It is located in the Giulia district of Alahuela within Luccio Square adjacent to the city's government offices, including Alahuela Capital Hall.
The original building was completed in 1700. The building was later enlarged, with the addition of two large half-domes, and extended wings with expanded chambers for the bicameral legislature, the Chamber of Emissaries in the south wing and the Senate in the north wing. Like the principal buildings of the executive and judicial branches, the Capitol is built in the neoclassic style and has a white exterior. Both its east and west elevations are formally referred to as fronts, though only the east front was intended for the reception of visitors and dignitaries. The building also includes committee rooms, libraries, lobbies, dining rooms, bars, and gymnasiums. One of the building's most famous features is the Pallas Athena fountain in front of the main entrance, built by Solemian architects, from 1898 to 1902 and it is a notable Cartadanian tourist attraction.
