The Western Republic, officially referred to as the Western Confederation of Independent Qabóri Republics, was a partially-recognized independent republic in South Crona that existed from March 25, 1733, to November 8, 1874. The Western Republic comprised of five Tierradorian regions; Alcosky, Qazrogzo, Ulunkheria, Undursky, and Tulangia. Despite the nation lasting for 141 years, it was very unstable, politically and economically, with a weak central government that was consistently overpowered by the regional governments' own interests.
The Republic was formed on March 25, 1733, with the aforementioned five new breakaway regions that would formally be established as independent nations. All five of these regions were created by unifying a certain number of former Qoyalets (provinces) of the Qabóri Woqalate, which would be dissolved following the Revolution of 1733. Despite pleas to rejoin the newly-founded Tierradorian Confederation to the east, the leaders of the Western Republic believed that rejoining Tierrador would lead to greater economic turmoil. The Republic's economy was mainly based on agriculture, and the rapid industrialization of Eastern Tierrador was not seen as "on par" with the more conservative Western economic standards.
