Christianity was first introduced to Thervala by Levantine and Burgogniac missionaries and intellectuals. Both Protestant and Catholic forms of Christianity have proven to be very syncretic with Ther society. As such, a 2030 census shows that the 35% of the population identifies themselves as Christian. Further polls show that it is split 17% Catholic to 18% Mercantile Reform Protestant. Geographically, Christians in Thervala are predominately located in its largest cities with some Catholic representation in the provinces. Usually with at least one large Cathedral per province. Mercantile Reform Protestants seem to be exclusively located in large urban areas.
