Dai Hanjian was a Corummese military officer and politician who led the 1957's 'Glorious Revolt' that overthrew the Qian Dynasty and served as the president of the Republican regime that replaced it from 1957 to 1962. His tenure saw the creation of the National Reconstruction Front (Corumm) as a means to dominate the political scene and legitimize military rule. He died in 1960 of a bladder infection according to official versions but more likely of arsenic poisoning.
