Dai Hanjian was a Daxian military officer and politician who led the 1945's 'Glorious Revolt' that overthrew the Qian Dynasty and served as the first president of the Republican regime that replaced it from 1945 to 1951. His tenure saw the creation of the National Reconstruction Front (Daxia) as a means to dominate the political scene and legitimize military rule. He died in 1951 of a bladder infection according to official versions but more likely of arsenic poisoning.
