Rupairtus Marcus Julius de Ford is the current Provost (mayor) of Kartika.
Ford was born and raised in the Capital District, into an old family of Urcean origin, with roots in the historic Levantine enclave of Konstanta, Ventarya. Under Kirosocialism, his father was a supply clerk for the regional ration board, and his grandfather had been the proprietor of Kartika's well-known Ford's Theatre until it was seized by the Kirosocialist authorities. The Ford line was planted in Kartika by Rob's great-grandfather, who was the chief game warden at the Stony Brook Deerpark.
