The 2003 Porvaos State Scorpions football team represented Porvaos State University (PSU) during the 2003 OIAA Division I-A football season. Coached by Mario Tebíos, the Scorpions played their home games at Scorpion Stadium in Novo Alsánco, Porvaos. The Scorpions compiled an 11–1 regular season record and then defeated the No. 2 Auqali Topakees in the STC Championship Game, Afterward, PSU was invited to play the Onancía Schoganats in the Bourbon Bowl for the OIAA Division I-A national title. PSU won the BCS National Championship Game in dominant fashion for the first national football championship for PSU since 1965.
This was the last season in which the Scorpions' home stadium would go by "Scorpion Stadium." Following the death of King Damian II of Porvaos in April 2004, Porvaos State University, his alma mater, announced the stadium would be renamed "Damian II Memorial Stadium," of which it remains today.
Season overview
After an eventful offseason leading up to the 2003 season, head coach Mario Tebíos was riding on the hot seat after finishing 8–5 the previous year. Despite that team's results, Porvaos State entered the 2003 season ranked 17th in the preseason IP poll, and were predicted by QBC to finish third in the STC's West Division, behind Anbarsnia and Moscakee State. Porvaos State opened up with a 48–7 win against Division I-AA Porvaos-City. The next week, quarterback Oscar Latenets suffered a season-ending knee injury in the first half of the team's road matchup against Topaqoí. Backup QB Kannarin Tháronsak would substitute and throw for 450 yards as the Scorpions dismantled Topaqoí, 36–13. The next couple of weeks saw the Scorpions pitch a 65–0 shutout of the Division I-AA top-ranked and eventual champion Alčona Union, and a 30–12 victory over Hugo State.
Porvaos State went into their first STC matchup on the road against 8th-ranked Aracadó, in what was regarded as one of the most intense atmospheres in college football. As 3-point underdogs, the Scorpions would pitch a 41–0 shutout over the Qurocs, which allowed for Porvaos State to move into the Top 5. TBD
