The 2033 Winnecomac County Crisis is an ongoing conflict in Asteria, in western Crona. It is the result of a popular referendum in Asteria to annex Winnecomac County. The referendum returned an over 70% majority in favor of annexing the county. The results were widely condemned in the international community. Following the results, popular support turned into violent rioting and native Cronans and foreigners were targeted.

On July 9 multiple multi-national, military task forces responded to foreign nationals trying to flee being rounded up at airports by a less and less regulated militia. A combined Caphiro-Urcean maritime task force attacked and stormed Concordia International Airport. Following that, an Arco-Burgoignesc aerial taskforce established a no-fly zone over Yarmouth Airport with Paulastra joining them. The operation in Arcerion was known as Operation Elevator, and was the evacuation of a muiltinational contingent of civilians and non-combatants.

On the morning of July 10th the President of Asteria Fatima Alvarez ordered all troops to stand down. Arcer paratroopers landed at Yarmouth to beging evacuating non-combatants to Burgoignesc ships waiting off shore. The Urcean evacuated non-combatants to Alstin. Throughout the day of the 10th, localized violent clashes between Asterian and international troops occurred as the evacuations started.
