Agaþa Axanar Kunobelin is a Kiravian politician and former prosecutor currently serving as Governor of Argévia.
Early Life and Career
Kunobelin was born in 1974 AD in Mosovanda, Argévia. Her parents owned a gas station, and the family were ethnic Kir descended from migrants from the Kiravian Heartland to Kaskada during its mining boom. From an early age, Kunobelin showed great intelligence as well as a strongly combative personality, and became adept at throwing shade back at other children who teased her for her already heft physique. She would go on to attend Ilfenóra State University and earned her candidature with distinction. Her thesis was entitled Evidentiary Defence of the Neo-Shaftonist Conception of General Detention against Western Liberal Challenges with Specific Reference to Urban Farravonia (Kiravic: Ekílūþansix Savek Inośavtorisēx Imvikulská Ovsiuromosk asos Bavālsaliberisēx Sítrandya das Skámiædren Saralix Farravoniand). Although accepted to the law school at Parþotren University, at that time the nation's most prestigious, Kunobelin opted instead to pursue her legal studies at Remora University in Argévia, with the understanding that it would better prepare her for her home state's legal examinations, as the legal systems and professional regulations of the various Kiravian states are quite different from one another. She excelled academically but was universally disliked by professors and feared by many fellow students for the belligerent demeanour and extremely crude (though colourful) vocabulary that accompanied her brilliant legal mind. After graduating and obtaining her law licence, Kunobelin had all of her applications for clerkships under state and federal judges rejected without interviews, as her reputation in the legal community preceded her. She worked briefly - though successfully - as a copyright litigator for the Futuron Corporation, where talk around the County Akuagen Courthouse of her legal skills and aggressive, uncompromising approach attracted the interest of D.R. Píobar, the county's Prucurator-Lieutenant, who invited her to join his office.

2025 Election
Kunobelin entered the 2025 gubernatorial election in a defencible position, but facing several challenges. In an unusual divergence, polls showed Kunobelin as having very high unfavorability ratings from voters, but also relatively high job approval. Polling showed that Kunobelin drew strong support from ethnic Kir and ethnic Umcarans, neighbourhood guys, inner suburbs, migrants from other states, and other fat people, but dismal support from Serradan Coscivians, Lusophones, and Pribyterians.
