Ainsley High School is a public high school located in the city of Sierra, Verona, Cartadania that serves grades 9 through 12 as part of the Sierra Independent School District. It is located on Bendrus Road on a 53 acres (0.21 km2) lot within the city's Central district. It is one of eleven high schools serving central Sierra.
History
Ainsley opened in fall 1998 with grades 9, 10, and 11, and then added 12th grade in 1999. In June 2000, the first students graduated from the school. Ainsley relieved Independence and Liberty High School. The opening allowed for Liberty High School to return to a traditional calendar, but inevitably resulted in Ainsley being a year-round school for a few years. Prior to having the name Ainsley High School, the school was known as Sierra ISD High School #71.
