Alô is the brand name used by the mobile communications subsidiaries of the Cartadaniaan telecommunications company Alfa Telecom S.A.. The brand is active in Ceylonia (under the subsidiary Alô Ceylonia), Galicia (Alô Galicia), and Cartadania (Alô Cartadania). Alô serves 83.3 million subscribers in Cartadania, and approximately 134 million total worldwide.
Alfa Telecom previously owned the holding company Alô International S.A. for its mobile communications subsidiaries. From 2003 to 2007 Alô International was one of Alfa Telecom's segments beside the segments of 'Broadband/Fixnet', 'Business Customers' and 'Group HQ and Shared Services'. Alô International S.A. then lost relevance when Alfa Telecom transformed its structure to adopt a regional setup (Cartadania, Ceylonia, Galicia, Pelaxia) in 2009 by combining its previously separated fixed and mobile subsidiaries to form integrated local businesses.
When Alô International S.A. existed, the holding company was based in Gadiz, Calajara, Cartadania and its subsidiaries operated GSM, UMTS and LTE-based cellular networks in Cartadania including all of its territories, Ceylonia, Galicia, and Pelaxia.
