The Alexandria General Assembly is the legislative branch of the government of Alexandria, a state located in the northeastern region of Cartadania. Comprising two chambers, the Senate and the Domus Alexandriae, the General Assembly is responsible for enacting laws and overseeing the state's budget and policies. It meets at the Capitol Building in the capital city of Calaine. The Senate is presided over by the Lieutenant Governor, while members of the Domus Alexandriae elect their own speaker, known as the Orator Princeps. The General Assembly has a long and storied history, with its roots stretching back to the colonial era of Caphiria. Today, it plays a vital role in shaping the political, social, and economic landscape of Alexandria, and is widely regarded as one of the most powerful state legislatures in Cartadania.
