Biography

Early Life

Therōsdur was born in Xistódarin, Intravia and spent most of his childhood in the nearby village of Amritsōrd. His parents, Ansgar and Sírda Therōsdur, belonged to the Kórskan Coscivian ethnic group and had converted to Catholicism together in their twenties. Though predominantly Kórskan, Amritsōrd was divided along religious lines: A majority of the residents adhered to Læstorianism, the traditional monotheistic religion of the Kórskans and other North Coscivians, while a minority were Christians, mostly Catholics whose community was established by Franciscan missionaries active in the area during the 21080s. Upon their conversion, the Therōsdurs became alienated from the Læstorian segment of the community and had to build new social ties within the Catholic segment, becoming closely integrated into parish life. Ansgar attended the local parochial school, played as a wide receiver in the Intravia Catholic Youth Fieldball League, performed volunteer work with the Lay Franciscans, and attended the diocesan high school in Xistódarin before leaving Intravia to attend the Pontifical University of Kiravia in Kartika.
