The automotive industry in Cartadania is a quite large employer in the country and is one of the most prominent in the world. Cartadania's automotive industry is best known for its automobile designs in higher-end vehicles. The industry rapidly increased from the late 1970s to the 1990s (when it was oriented both for domestic use and worldwide export) and in the 1980s and 1990s, became a production leader with up to 13 million cars per year manufactured and significant exports. It is today among the most advanced automobile-producing countries in the world.
