Opposition in Arcerion

Arcer opposition has notably come from the People's Association for Economic Involvement in Telokona (PAEIT). They were fervent opponents as they felt there were better Indigenous and Cronan alternatives to the trade deal. However, Arcer Trade Office officials were quick to dismiss these claims as the trade deal benefitted Arcer farmers, and allowed import/export firms, and maritime shipping agencies to increase their yearly quotas which in turn assisted the Arcer shipbuilding and rail transport industries. As the foods had no natural threat due to their inability to be grown in Arcerion, it was seen as a boon for the economy.

Opposition in Stenza

Stenzan opposition to the agreement has been relatively light, although members of the Stenzan Farming Lobby (SFL) have been quoted expressing concerns about the BGA's impact on their own production and how the BGA might impact local farmers during years when local production is up to par. Government sources have reassured these farmers that adequate measures will be taken to protect the local industry, and that the BGA offers healthy competition without the aim to eliminate local production.
