The Battle of the Seneca Straits is considered to be the largest naval battle since the Second Great War, with over 50,000 personnel involved. It was fought in the water off the Seneca Isles from 24 to 25 December 2021, between the United Republic Navy (URN) and the Varshani Navy. In response to Operation Jonah, in which Urcea invaded the Seneca Isles, Varshan sent the bulk of their remaining naval assets in an effort to smash the Allied naval forces supporting the operation and eject the Royal and Imperial Army from the islands. Anticipating the move, the United Republic Navy intercepted the Varshani naval force in and around the Seneca Straits, which resulted in the Varshani Navy suffering heavy losses, and the United Republic successfully thwarting the Varshani attempt to affect the Urcea invasion of Seneca.
