Fíanna Aird Mór is the dominant political party in the Kiravian state of New Ardmore. Originally the political wing of the Ardmore Republican Army, which resisted Fanerian and later Absurranian rule in the islands, the FAM was responsible for negotiating the terms of New Ardmore's admission to the Kiravian Federacy and drafting its constitution.
The cornerstone of the party's platform is Ardmorean nationalism, defined in terms of independence from historical foreign powers and wide-reaching autonomy within the Kiravian Federacy. On domestic economic issues, the party is seen as big-tent and centrist on the whole, though it is currently pursuing a pro-development ordoliberal economic agenda.
Due to the party's image as the national liberators of the Ardmorean people and its writing of a majority bonus system into the state's proportional voting formula, the FAM enjoys a near-monopoly on partisan political offices in New Ardmore, and has begun to be described as a state party and faced accusations of presiding over a de facto single-party state. The main opposition parties in New Ardmore, the centrist Ardmore Popular Party and agrarian Glas, hold only two seats in the Dáil.
