Figueroa (English pronunciation: /fɪgəˈrəʊə/) is a city in and the capital of the commonwealth of Lombardia. It is the county seat of Cálonia County. In 2022, the Census Bureau estimated the population was 570,813, while the Figueroa metropolitan area had a 2022 population of 2,715,919. The metropolitan area is part of a nine-county market region or combined statistical area.
Figueroa has a particularly rare form of climate for the tropics, being Mediterranean (Csa). Located about 172 kilometres (107 mi) south of the southern end of the Jordas Bay, it and much of Lombardia is characterized by this climate due to the geography within and surrounding the state, which in turn affects the weather patterns, giving a much milder climate than the majority of the country.
