Hezikian Isles

Insulae Ezechiae or the Hezikiah Islands. The Hezikian Isles is a group of islands located in the middle of the Levantine Ocean. These volcanic islands are known for their breathtaking natural beauty and unique ecological diversity. The islands are named after Hezekiah, a biblical king of Judah. Historically used as islands basing for further travel east. It has recently been under redevelopment by Fiannria for more active use and settlement.

Demonym

Insulae Ezechiae, as the islands were first referred to, were the names given by sailing Crusaders heading south, first to Sarpedon, and later further east into Audonia and Alshar. The islands were given their name in honor of the biblical king of Judah, Hezekiah.

History

Historically these islands were known as a port of call for Crusaders during the far-off Crusades into Audonia. Later on, during the era of the Monarchy of Culfras, it was used for traders, colonists, and Royal shipping lanes by both Culfran and Burgunidic ships. Following the fall of Monarchy and the rise of the Burgundian trading empire, it fell off in usage outside by smuggling until the turn of the 20th century. It proved a very important port of call during the Second Great War and during Operation Kipling but was never made a permanent basing.

Recently with increasing Fiannan activity in the Alshari region, Fiannria has established military infrastructure on the island, those being Rossa Naval Base and Gotz Air Base to support the further investments in Alshar.

Climate and Georgraphy

The climate of the Hezikian Isles is tropical, with warm temperatures year-round and occasional rainstorms. The islands are home to a variety of flora and fauna, including rare species of birds, reptiles, and plants. The islands are famous for their rugged terrain, with steep cliffs, rocky beaches, and dense forests.
