The Kelpie IFV, formally the Type 2034 FTA, is a Fhainnin-built Infantry Fighting Vehicle planned for serial production in the 2030s. Designated a Feithicil Troda Armúrtha (Armored Fighting Vehicle; a term covering both IFV and APC platforms) under its National Army designation, the Kelpie is the result of a mixed private and state defense industrial design with Fhainnin, Yonderrine, Eldmoran, and Kiravian defense contractors. The Kelpie is intended to be a future-proofed IFV and is the flagship land vehicle of current defense production planning in Faneria, and is intended for sale or production license to Eldmora-Regulus, Yonderre, Kiravia, the Cape, Burgundie, and Caracua among other countries. It is unusual among Fhainnin defense contracts in that its official designation, the FTA-2034, is the planned initial active deployment year and not the year in which development will complete. The Kelpie is designed around the reduced three crew plus seven infantry carried in the post-2014 variants of the Dragoon IFV, one of its main ancestors along with the Eldmoran Eldmetall IKaF Lynx.
