Márványfalak Léghajógyártás "II. Miksa Gustáv" ÁV[1], often known for short as MLÁV or simply Márlégha, is a state-owned aerospace corporation in Hendalarsk and headquartered in its namesake city of Márványfalak, the unofficial capital of the country's Khunyer regions. As with many other state-owned enterprises in Hendalarsk, the company name incorporates a figure who is considered a positive moral example or figurehead for the company's employees; unusually for a state-owned enterprise, the figure in question is Archking Maximilian II of Hendalarsk, who occupies a prominent positive position in Khunyer folklore.

In stark contrast to most other countries, heavier-than-air flight is widely disliked in Hendalarsk, the legacy of an ancient syncretic cultural belief that the sky is God's domain. Airships are thus the only widespread form of civilian air transport and freight within Hendalarsk and, due to the nationalisation and consolidation of vast swathes of the economy after the Hendalarskara Civil War, Márlégha is the dominant provider and maintainer of airships in Hendalarsk proper, albeit with some competition from smaller firms in the Pentapolis. The company's influence is so sweeping that "Márlégha" is used to mean "airship" in both Hendalarskisch and Khunyer, having supplanted each language's respective previous term in popular usage.

Notes

  1. ÁV is short for Állami Vállalat, the Khunyer term for a state-owned enterprise
