The M9 Archon is a fourth-generation Cartadanian main battle tank currently in the field test phase of development. Designed and manufactured by defense manufacturer, Aurora, the Archon is equipped with numerous advanced features, including an autoloader and an unmanned turret, which reduce the crew to three members. The hybrid diesel-electric power pack provides significantly improved fuel efficiency, approximately 50% more than its predecessor, the third-generation M5 Anta. It is armed with a 30mm chain gun installed on a remote weapon station, active protection systems, and augmented reality technology that enhances crew awareness by utilizing cameras and sensors located around the tank's exterior. Moreover, the tank is able to run in a silent mode, enabled when it runs on electric power, which provides increased stealth benefits. The M9 Archon is capable of being updated more quickly than other tanks in service and is capable of utilizing loitering munitions like the Allocca Cirrus, as well as surveillance drones, thus enhancing its combat capabilities. The Archon is designed with reduced weight to increase mobility, making it a very useful asset for Cartadania's armed forces.
