Robobamor UAV
The ROBOBAMOR BA-UA9 (Aen. MEGADEATHBOT) is a heavy military proof-of-concept UAV system produced by Baen Avionics solely for the National Army of Faneria since 2027. ROBOBAMOR was developed from the Cheaston Drone as an extreme-range stealth bomber, allowing for the deployment of heavy ASM and ASHM cruise missiles on a continental range from a home base without the need for considerations of crew fatigue. In addition, the UAV features advanced electronic countermeasures and stealth features. The project is considered a high-cost, niche asset, with only six systems currently in service; six additional systems are planned over the next decade, and the class will not replace other Fhainnin drone systems such as the Baen Warbird and Cheaston UAV.
Originally, naming of the system was put up for public polling in 2027 after the display of the prototype at Tealgahn Mall; however, the top three names resulting from the contest were ROBOBAMOR (Megadeathbot), ROBOBAMOR 9000, and an expletive. Military officials were originally unwilling to use the winning name, but renaming the system 'Sparrowhawk' lead to a three-month campaign of harassment primarily targeted at the Baen Avionics plant in Cancale, resulting in involvement and summary judgement by the Taesteach-General of the Army.
