The '''MAG-17''' is a modular semi-automatic pistol designed and manufactured by the [[Yonderre|Yonderian]] small arms manufacturer [[MAG|Manufacture d'Armes de Gabion]]. It is the primary service pistol of the [[Levantine Union Defense Council]] and used by many of its member states. Principally chambered in 9x19mm, the MAG-17 can be chambered in .357 MAG, .40 FNC, .45 ACP and 10x25mm and can be easily converted from one caliber to another; a change from .357 MAG to .40 FNC requires only a barrel change; a change between 9mm to .357 MAG or .40 FNC and vice versa are accomplished using a caliber exchange kit. | |||

There were concerns that early production MAG-17s may discharge if dropped and the back of the slide hits the ground at a 33-degree angle. The problem was thought to be related to the trigger weight; some triggers were heavy enough that they essentially continued to move due to inertia after the gun hit the ground. Internet publications conducted independent tests that appeared to confirm potential drop firings (at a 40 percent rate).
