Nova Istroya specifically describes much of the southeastern coast of [[Levantia]] and southern coast of [[Urcea]] that was the site of settlement by [[Ancient Istroyan civilization|Istroyan]] peoples during Antiquity. The region, which is largely separated from the rest of Urcea by a southern portion of the [[Hortus Mountains]], runs along the coast of the [[Sea of Istroya]] facing [[Audonia]]. As the most geographically accessible portion of [[Levantia]] to the east, the area has long been a prominent location of cultural exchange and mixing, though the Istroyan legacy still remains the most prominent.
