As access to highways and other transportation helped connect regions, Bellegarde began to expand throughout Milan, each location getting produce from the local community. Over the years, Bellegarde grew in popularity and expanded its offerings to include a wider range of grocery items, such as meats, dairy products, and baked goods. In the early years of the 20th century, Bellegarde continued to expand its reach, opening new locations throughout eastern Cartadania, spreading. By the 1920s, the company had become one of the largest grocery store chains in the region, with stores in Milan, Aleira, Acara, Triessa, and Cambria. After the resolution of the Second Great War, the stores further expanded into São Andreas. Beginning in 1961, Bellegarde began setting its sights westward, expanding across the Marée Channel into São Ricardo. This was the first expansion into Lusia, Cartadania's most populous and central region. The influx of people from neighboring states spurred the expansion even further across the Aluna Channel into Alexandria, making Bellegarde the first non-supercenter to have a presence in Urlazio and Lusia. Verona opened its first eleven Bellegarde stores in the same year, 1993, which continued to swell after the turn of the century until the state reached nearly eighty locations.
