Every year Paulastrans give an offering of a single left sided shoe at the local copy of the Marble Emperor Statue every year as an apology to the Marble Emperor for the crimes of their ancestors. The shoes vary in cost and fanciness and is based on what a Paulastran is able to afford. These shoes are considered sacred to the Paulastran people and are generally not bothered or otherwise molested when left at the Statue. It is also considered a felony to steal an Apology Shoe.
