While the trials to become Supreme Leader have been abolished, they are still sometimes practiced as a sport, and if you are proven by at least 3 eyewitnesses that you conducted a trial with 2 others and were favored by a god, then you are seen as a great leader, and usually immediately elected into a subdivision role.
