Lance FC was officially founded on May 9, 2009, by a coalition of former professional footballers of chiefly Yonderian origin, notably Thibaut Valais and Simon Nebelheimer who remain chairman and manager respectively. Initially centred around a cadre of professional footballers recruited chiefly from Ligue 3 clubs, a combination of experienced veteran players and home-grown talents coming to the fore led Lance FC on an impressive rise through the ranks of the Yonderian association football world, reaching Ligue 2 in 2016 in a record-breaking display of league ascension. Ground was broken for Lance FC's new stadium, Lanceuer Arena (now Bordelleaux Palmgate Arena), in 2016. Lance FC remained in Ligue 2 throughout the seasons 2016-2017 through to 2018-2019 when they finished second, graduating to the Ligue Yonderre. The club has since remained in the Ligue Yonderre, finishing in the top 10 clubs every season since the 2027-28 season.
