The Arcerion Cup, also known infrequently as the Lion's Race, is a championship trophy awarded for the sport of sailing. It is the oldest continually operating competitive sailing trophy awarded in Ixnay, first beginning . Races are held between two yachts, one from the current champion (known as the incumbent or the defender) and the other from a challenging team (known as the challenger). Competitions are held every several years (usually every other year) on dates that are pre-set through discussions between the International Sailing Committee, with representatives from defending and challenging teams. As there is no pre-determined schedule, the shortest length between matches has been fourteen months, and the longest been six years. The most recent Arcerion Cup was held in Chester-on-Moore, taking place on the Songun Sea, hosted by the defending champions the Royal Foxhey Yacht Squadron, in June 2029.
