Chester-on-Moore, officially the City of Chester-on-Moore, is the third largest city in Moorden Governorate and the third most populous city in the Confederated Provinces of Arcerion. It is the cultural and maritime center of Arcerion's Southern Songun Shore. The city had a population of 2.3 million inhabitants as of 2026. It is the economic anchor of Southern Arcerion due to its strategic location proximate to the Warrington Straits and its large port facilities.

Chester-on-Moore is one of the oldest settlements in Arcerion, dating back to the original first settlement of Moorden and the Ardmori Colony in Crona during the 1790s. It was settled after the ship Chester ran aground, and the city is named after the shipwreck, which parts of have been restored and are now a tourist attraction in the city's harbour. It was the scene of multiple key moments during the Arcer Bush Wars, Second Great War, and parts of the Telekonese Conflict. The city maintained a prominent role as the main entry for goods from Sarpedon, Levantia, and Australis, and with the export of Arcer steel, coal, and other goods became a major economic port-of-call for maritime commerce. The city has continued to expand around the original settlement, which maintains the cobblestone streets, red clay brick buildings, and original Gothic-style buildings from its founding in the city's Historic District. The city boasts many important Arcer, Cronan, and other cultural sites including large libraries, public parks, sports teams, and schools.

Modern Chester-on-Moore is a populous and prosperous metropolis within Arcerion, and one of its most important cities. It has the highest volume of maritime trade and ship traffic, only followed by Dunborough, and the rail link between Easthampton and Chester-on-Moore is the busiest commercial rail line in Crona. It has maintained its industrial relevance with the creation of new wharfs, port facilities, and dockyards, ensuring it is a staple of Songun and Malentine Sea trade. The Arcer federal government also relies on Chester-on-Moore for many state functions, such as its role in the Arcer Space Program, multiple bases and facilities belonging to the Armed Forces of Arcerion, and its sizeable role in Arcerion's Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

Chester-on-Moore routinely ranks extremely high on development indexes, and has been ranked in the top 3 places to live in Arcerion for the last twenty years owing to its culture, public transport, strong civic institutions, low crime rate, world-class healthcare infrastructure, and temperate climate.
