The House of Union is the effective Legislative body of Canespa. The House of Union consists of five "parties" that represent the five largest houses of Canespa. Unlike normal parties these parties do not have hard set political views and instead of based on the heritage of ones party. This creates a multi-layer system where members of the House have loyalty to both their relatives and others who share the same idea. In practice most of the houses do have general views and can represent different regions of Canespa as well.The House has a total of 286 members with 86 of them being guaranteed to each region while the remaining 200 are dispersed based on a population basis. The House of Union's power is mostly untested as its general strength usually depends on the sitting Wasi King. Although the House has recently served as more of a check on the Wasi King and what he can do.
