Spréach Incorporated, or simply Spréach, is a publicly-owned soft drink company with headquarters in Leighlinbridge, Faneria, best known for its titular drink, Spréach. It is an internationally operating company and a major contender to the more widely-known Paulastran brand Imperial Cola. The company was founded in 1910 by entrepreneur Thomas MacCirrin, who created the formula for Spréach Original.

History

Beginning as a small soft drink mill in its headquarter city, Spréach Inc. became a popular producer of soft drinks during the Second Great War, as it was able to procure the ingredients it needed through neutral shipping while other industries such as ice cream ran on tight shortages, making it a popular treat for the wartime generation. Spréach exploded from a one-office, one-plant business to producing over fourty million bottles a year by the end of the war in spite of wartime shortages, as its morale effect was considered critical enough to warrant priority.

After the Second Great War, Spréach continued to grow, collecting other soft drinks and absorbing the companies that produced them into itself. The company briefly changed recipes in 1965 to include artifical sugars in metal cans after the death of its founder, but reverted to glass bottles and natural sugar to popular relief after a takeover by MacCirrin's nephew Jonah MacCirrin, who remains the current CEO and owner of 18.9% of the company stock. After the takeover, J.MC. closed numerous dubious ventures such as a Spréach-themed amusement park, calling them 'retarded'. The company still sells branded mugs, shirts, and limited-run collectibles, and sponsors several sports arenas, theme parks, and charitable institutions.

Notable Products

Spréach Original

Spréach Original is a carbonated cola beverage with a dark brown, nearly black coloration with natural sugar. It is similar to Imperial Cola but lacks addictive substances and has a slightly higher sugar content.

Spréach Ròs

Developed in 1983, Spréach Ròs ('Rose Spark') is a cherry-flavored variant of Spréach Original. It is noted for its relatively high concentration of cherry flavoring next to other brands, giving it a distinctly strong sugary-cherry taste. It is the only core Spréach product to feature synthetic flavoring. Unlike the original, Spréach Ròs is a ruddy color.

Gwylt

Gwylt ('wild') is a clear, highly-carbonated, lightly-flavored cane sugar soda marketed as a 'diet soda'. It has less sugar than other Spréach products, and is sold in a glass container shaped like a rectangular prism except for the neck, which terminates at a square bottlecap.

Saorsa

Saorsa ('freedom') is a light brown soda with a creamy texture and a taste similar to a citrus drink and root beer. It is branded somewhat sarcastically with the names of the 'free' countries of the world in alphabetical order around the lower half of the bottle.

Rhew

Rhew (frost) is a bright blue cream soda designed to appeal particularly to children. It has a high quantity of cane sugar and caffeine, and is especially popular in Crona.

Spréach-brand Water

Spréach sells water in glass bottles, which is a major factor in the reduction of bottled water prices to below a Bar in Faneria. Spréach Incorporated defeated Aguasola, Inc., a competing water supplier, in court in 2005, preserving its right to sell water at just above its cost. Plastic bottling remains more economical than glass bottling, which has prevented Spréach from dominating bottled water supply in Faneria.
