Stenzan Intelligence Community

The Stenzan Intelligence Community is the collective term used for the Stenzan intelligence appartarus, consisting of various agencies overseen by various ministries.

Overview

The Stenzan Intelligence Community is chiefly composed of three different agencies: The Foreign Intelligence Secretariat of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Counterterrorism Bureau of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Military Intelligence Command overseen by the Stenzan Armed Forces and, in turn, the Ministry of Defense.

Foreign Intelligence Secretariat

The Foreign Intelligence Secretariat of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (FIS) is, as the name implies, a daughter secretariat to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It is Stenza's main agency concerning the collection and analysis of foreign intelligence, although it also has a rumored domestic presence. Official FIS personnel is attached to every Stenzan embassy across the world, although it is rumored that FIS presence globally goes further than what is officially being reported by the embassies.

The FIS is tasked with gathering intelligence across the globe for analysis within Stenza, where its Analysis Section turns the wealth of intelligence gathered into actionable reports for consumption by the Stenzan Government. These reports aim to "educate the government and aim her to decide on foreign policy", according to the Secretariat's website.

The secretariat also employs a Force Application and Security (FAS) Section, a secretive part of the secretariat that officially exists to "protect Stenzan officials abroad". It is widely believed that the FAS is involved in clandestine operations abroad, with historical sources trying the Section to various acts of violence abroad. The Stenzan Government has always denied that the FAS is involved in any clandestine activities.

Counterterrorism Bureau

The Counterterrorism Bureau of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (CB) is part of the Stenzan Internal Forces, a paramilitary law enforcement agency tasked with federal level law enforcement and home defense. The bureau's goal is to "eradicate terrorist and other domestic threats within Stenza", and its tasks include providing security to various government offices and officials, gathering information on domestic threats and taking down domestic threats through its Action Desk. The bureau is also involved in domestic situations where the tactical expertise of its Action Desk is needed to bring events to a conclusion, such as hostage situations. The Counterterrorism Bureau, through its activities in countering terrorism within Stenza, is also the main agency involved with the prevention of foreign spying within Stenza. Multiple sources have tied the actions of the Counterterrorism Bureau with the capture or death of foreign agents within Stenza.

Military Intelligence Command

The Military Intelligence Command (MIC) is a joint three-star command within the Stenzan Armed Forces, that answers to the Ministry of Defense, and on occasion the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It oversees the intelligence bodies of Stenza's three military services, those being the Army's Army Intelligence Command (AIC), the Navy's Naval Intelligence Bureau (NIB) and the Air Force's Intelligcence Collection and Analysis Group (ICAG). All three of these intelligence agencies are two-star commands within their respective branches. Through the MIC, the Stenzan Military has a centralized way to direct its intelligence affairs without the various branches fighting each other on operations, with the branches cooperating through the MIC. Aside from the branch-specific intelligence agencies, the MIC also has its own Global Threat and Nuclear Threat sections, tasked with analyzing various threats relevant to all services.
