Urcea: My thought for Medimeria was that basically it doesn’t serve any purpose before steam power other than being a “Pure Pharisedom” - place for these people to live in peace without some self governance along the lines of Massachusetts without much economic import

Basically a place existing for its own sake under the governance first of the Middle Seas Refuge Company nominally sponsored by, whoever, whichever state (see above)

Burg:

It's a place to PUT Prots, see Torlen#Aftermath_of_the_Great_Confessional_War you can copy-paste most of this switching out Bourgondi for Marialanus.

Due to the prevailing winds it's a critical transshipment point in the Age of Sail trade routes to Burg's interests in Crona namely St. Nicholas colony and Canespa.

I don't think there is a lot of slaves on Medimeria because it's so overflowing with Prots (cheap, desperate labor). I would maybe throw in a Utopian Commune of Dedham. Something, something God sent us here to repent for our sins, something something quiet reflection in the middle of the ocean.

But that isolation probably means that the zealotry fades after a few generations and it's largely religiously ambivalent by the 19th century. More hard nose Yankee sailor types than Metro West Calvinists.

Whaling is big, you can also steal that from Torlen#Whaling but these people are probably going, unimpeded to the Artic grounds than doing local stuff like Torlen. They would pretty much have a monopoly on eastern Artic Levantine Ocean whaling until the Age of Steam is in full swing in the 1870s. So whale oil and whale byproducts are their big export but that wealth isn't distributed evenly with their being a small class of ship owners and captains with all the money and the whalers and their families primarily living on credit.
