This is a documentation subpage for Template:DNV. It may contain usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page. |
This template is a Citation Style 1 wrapper template based on {{Cite ship register}}. For centralised Citation Style 1 discussions, see Help talk:Citation Style 1. |
This template is used to create uniformly formatted citations to the Det Norske Veritas and Germanischer Lloyd ship registers.
Usage
This:
<ref>{{DNV|id=28329|shipname=Allure of the Seas|access-date=2024-12-09}}</ref>
Will put this in your references list:
- 1.^ Lua error: bad argument #1 to "get" (not a valid title).
- Required parameters
|id=
unique ship ID. DNV ships use a 5-digit number, while GL ships use a 6-digit number sometimes preceded by a "G". For instance, Allure of the Seas is number 28329 and AIDAprima is number g117060.|shipname=
name of the ship. The template automatically italicizes the shipname. Prefixes (MV, SS, etc.) should be omitted as they are not part of the ship's name.|access-date=
Full date when URL was accessed; use the same format as other access and archive dates in the citations; do not wikilink. Access dates in references should all have the same format – either the format used for publication dates, or YYYY-MM-DD. See MOS:DATEUNIFY.
