Usage

This template formats IPA transcriptions and links them to Help:IPA/Lombard. The transcription should match the conventions of that key.

The first cell in the template is for the transcription, and a second optional cell is a switch that controls the lede. With no second value, the lead Lombard pronunciation: appears:

• {{IPA-lmo|ˈtytʃ}} → Lombard pronunciation: [ˈtytʃ]
• {{IPA-lmo|ˈtytʃ|pron}} → pronounced [ˈtytʃ]
• {{IPA-lmo|ˈtytʃ|lang}} → Lombard: [ˈtytʃ]
• {{IPA-lmo|ˈtytʃ|wl}} → Western Lombard: [ˈtytʃ]
• {{IPA-lmo|ˈtøtʃ|el}} → Eastern Lombard: [ˈtøtʃ]
• {{IPA-lmo|ˈtøtʃ|local}} → locally [ˈtøtʃ]
• {{IPA-lmo|ˈtøtʃ|IPA}} → IPA: [ˈtøtʃ]
• {{IPA-lmo|ˈtøtʃ|}} → [ˈtøtʃ]

Any of these may be combined with a sound file in an optional third cell:

• {{IPA-lmo|ˈtytʃ|IPA|Lmo-tucc.ogg}} → IPA: [ˈtytʃ] ()

For the default lead, however, a placeholder such as ‹-› is required in the second cell:

• {{IPA-lmo|ˈtytʃ|-|Lmo-tucc.ogg}} → Lombard pronunciation: [ˈtytʃ] ()
