The Tierrador national football team (Tierradorian: Equip le Terranóq le fútball) represents Tierrador in men's international football. It is controlled by Football Tierrador (FT; Fútball Terranóq), the governing body for football in Tierrador. It is a member of UCFA in Crona and WAFF in global competitions. The team's colors and imagery reference two national symbols: the three colors shown on the Tierradorian flag (blue, gold and white), along with the national symbol, the Heartland Phoenix (Phénix Qoražnóq). The team is colloquially known as The Heartlanders. The team plays their home matches in several stadiums across Tierrador, though their de facto home stadium is the 105,000-seat National Stadium in Taisgol, and train at the FT Center in Woderq.

Tierrador is one of eleven teams to have won the WAFF World Cup, being crowned most recent champion. They have participated in 13 of 18 WAFF World Cups. They defeated Yonderre in the 2030 edition in Alstin City, Alstin. Tierrador has also consistently qualified and participated in 20 out of 22 UCFA Cronan Championships, only failing to qualify for the first two editions of the tournament. They have won the most Cronan Championships, winning six. Tierradorian football talent is considered among some of the best in the world. Many well-known world class players, including Vinny Hernandez, Hugo Sprinsky, Teríon Manano, and Julian Lawrence all play for the Tierradorian national team. Vinny Hernandez leads the team in caps, with 133, along with being the all-time team leader in goals scored since his debut in 2012, with 77. The team is currently managed and coached by former Mineros head coach Kinnick Lawrence, in his eleventh season of coaching. He is considered to be one of the greatest Tierradorian football coaches of all time, leading Tierrador to its first WAFF World Cup victory in 2030.

Rivalries

Tierrador's arch-rival has widely been agreed to be Alstin, whom they share a fierce rivalry. This rivalry began in 1889, where Tierrador defeated Alstin 2–1 in Taisgol. Since then, they have played each other the most out of any other nation, with Tierrador leading a very close series 57–55–34. Other rivalries include Istrenya, Ceylonia, Paulastra, Arcerion, and The Cape.

Home stadium

Unlike most other national teams, Tierrador does not have a dedicated national stadium; instead, the team has played their home matches at 82 venues in various regions. National Stadium, located in the Woderq neighborhood of Taisgol, has hosted 40 matches, the most of any stadium. The Auqali Region has hosted 95 matches, the most of any Tierradorian subdivision, and the Songun Credit Stadium in Ambaqwe has hosted 64 of the 95 number. Allen Stadium, a 98,000-seat venue in Sedter used primarily by the Auqali Topakees of the OIAA college football, is the only venue where the national team has never lost any of the 31 matches that it hosted. This is due in part to the atmosphere of the stadium, often earning it the nickname "Death Valley". On October 17, 2023, Tierrador crushed the WAFF 1st-ranked and defending World Champion Cartadania 7–2 in Allen Stadium, shattering Cartadania's 22-match unbeaten streak in one of the loudest crowds in Tierradorian football history.

Media coverage

TNT and SPN have both had the rights to the Tierradorian and Ænglish language broadcasts since 2001. Since 2022, all TNT-broadcast matches are streaming live on SPN+, with matches also on TBS. In 2016, Network3 acquired partial broadcast rights to half of all Tierradorian matches in a calendar year. In July 2031, Televisión Cinco acquired partial rights to select Pelaxian language broadcasts of Tierradorian matches, including WAFF World Cup and UCFA Cronan Championship qualifiers, to be broadcast on Televisión Cinco and the TV5 Select streaming service. ABS regularly broadcasts Tierradorian matches to the large Alstinian audience, in both Ænglish and Tierradorian. These agreements do not apply to WAFF World Cup away qualifiers, whose rights are distributed by the host country.
