- ↑ 1.0 1.1 Alternate pronunciation does not differ significantly from the standard pronunciation. Different sounds are made on a word by word basis, but the phonetic difference can really be heard and rarely matters.
- ↑ The letter I makes the [ˈe] sound when it or the vowel after it is immediately followed by an H.
- ↑ The letter I makes the [ˈɪ] sound when it or the vowel after it is not immediately followed by an H.
- ↑ The letter Ԏ makes the [ˈθ] when followed by a vowel. Ԏ also makes the [ˈθ] sound when preceded by a vowel when it is the last letter of the word.
- ↑ The letter Ԏ makes the [ˈð] when preceded by a vowel or when simultaneously preceded and followed by a vowel.
- ↑ The letter Ԏ does not need to abide by the previously stated conventions if the word is a loan word. For example, "Gѧԏik" ("Gothic" in English) makes the [ˈθ] sound despite being preceded and followed by a vowel.
- ↑ 7.0 7.1 7.2 7.3 The letters that make up this digraph make their seperate sounds if the second letter is immediately followed by an H.
