'''Mera Bay''', also known as the '''Quexten Bay''' (Canespan) is a body of water located between [[Maloka]]a to the north and west and [[Canespa]] to the south and east. [[Ashkenang]] also borders the bay at its terminal point at the mouth of the [[Ashuk River]] through a corridor purchased from [[Maloka]] in 202X. The Ashuk and adjacent Kilmer River drainage basins in Maloka contribute the majority of groundwater flow into the bay. It is known for its fishing industry, which supports much of [[Maloka]] as well as [[Canespa|Canespa's]] northern cities. The largest city on the bay is [[Extranjero]], [[Canespa|Canespa's]] third largest and the only city on the bay with a population of over a million permanent residents; the second is [[Kimiornee]], capital of Maloka. During winter and spring, the majority of the bay is iced over; however, the mouth of the pay remains warm enough due to the adjacent currents of the [[Ocean of Cathay]] for navigation with the assistance of icebreakers in colder years.

Due to hostile currents within the bay ____ was not able to reach the end of the bay and as such it was thought that the bay was in fact a water way that separated [[Maloka]] as an island. Contemporary maps as a result displayed Maloka as an island between [[Thystara]] and mainland [[Cusinaut]].
