Syliria, officially the Peoples Democratic Paradise of Syliria (جنة سيليريا الديمقراطية للشعب ), in Arabic, is a country in Audonia. It is neighbored by XXX, XXX, and XXX. Syliria is a Multi Ethnic Nation Inhabited primary by Arabs but also by Ardushani's, Saqruni's and Alsahilians, all of which form Syliria, Sylirians primarily live in the coast of the nation and are a primarily sea fairing people but also hardened warriors who have their origins dating back to 10,000 bc, Who where once a tribal people who lived in Syliria's deserts and plains, however soon enough Ancient Syliria would discover agriculture and eventually collectivize, Ancient Syliria's name was unfortnutely lost to time, but some believe the modern day comes from The ancient Sylirian tribes, those where named Sabitrik, Artar, and Trovoq, As some Sylirian Elders recount through Oral storytelling, Of course these names would later be arabized by the oduniyyad caliphate who conquered modern day Syliria, however the name Syliria still remained. However after the collapse of the Caliphate and decline Syliria remained a Independent Kingdom, until the 1630s when it became a mandate of the burgoignesc colonial empire, in the 1930s the monarchy was overthrown and a republic was established it didnt last long which it was overthrown in the 1950s forming Syliria's modern government. that government being a one party state led by the Haqiqitan party, which has had a tight grip since its beginning, originally a socialist movement due to economic stagnation Syliria had a series of economic reforms which helped it become more pro bussiness, and eventually helped contribute to its GDP, these where done by Amir Al-Fawaz. Its largest cities follow as Alsayf, Sahtali, Minbabek, Alshams, and Eazim. Sahtali being a economic hub and trade Center for Syliria, historically its capital however it was changed to Alsayf as to create a much stronger image internationaly.

Syliria is a member of the League of Nations.

Etymology

The origins for the Name Syliria are unknown however it is believed to have come from The ancient Sylirian tribes, Believing that the name is a combination of the words "Sy" Meaning Great and "Liria" meaning Lions, However it is unknown if this is really the way the name came to be as the Ancient language spoken in Syliria is lost to time.

History

Syliria was inhabited by Desert nomadic tribes, those being the Sabitrik, Artar, And Trovoq tribes respectfully, as told by Sylirian Oral history, The Sylirian Government has allowed very few Scientist from other nations to visit and explore its Ancient history However Those who are allowed to study are those form Syliria itself, as most sources for Sylirian History come from the Government. Though it is believed these tribes Inhabited the deserts of Syliria Nomadically for the majority of its history until these tribes eventually Discovered Agriculture and eventually established a Civillization, this civillizations history is mostly lost to time including its name, most Traders at the time however refered it as "Sahilia" though debates about its name still go on till this very day. Through this Civillization was eventually Conquered by the Oduniyyad caliphate and Eventually Arabized Sylirian culture through trade and through Marriages with Arabs, Syliria during this time Also became majority Muslim, its ancient religion is also lost and is considered dead. However during the Chaos and collapse of the Caliphate Syliria declared its independence, Right after the collapse in 1571, The Kingdom of Syliria Made most of its money through trade, Its society outside any major cities was majority Nomadic, however throughout the centuries Many settled down, eventually forming many of Syliria's Ethnicities, During the 19th century Syliria had a major Islamist movement, This was due to colonization from the Burgoignesc colonial empire which Sylirias was a part of, eventually however Syliria would gain independence as they would no longer be useful to the empire in the 1880s and growing anti western sentiment would create a large salafist movement in Syliria, they would eventually form a party in the 1930s when Syliria became a Democracy, Syliria's Kingdom and King would eventually be Overthrown in 1928, along with the Royal family he was Killed, Replacing the Sylirian monarchy was a Republic, one which was weak in power, Eventually Syliria's discovered Oil in the 1930s near its shores and in the Al-Safra desert, Despite such a discovery Syliria's Oligarchy However gave the vast majority of its profit to those in the Sylirian government, causing Economic downturn, as the people had less to eat and Syliria's quality of life declined one Mabesh Al-Fawaz Saw a oppurtunity, He was a General in Syliria's Army and eventually Overthrew the government in a bloodless coup in 1957, Establishing a Socialist Regime. However Despite Promises of a Better life for those within Syliria It didn't. Syliria's new government became a Oligarchy once again, The profits from Mining and Agriculture and its Oil mostly went to Its economic ministers and the Al-Fawaz family. This caused major protest in what's called the Alshams Revolt, starting in 1972, Which lasted until 1985 In which a Armed rebel group named the guardians of liberty (GOL) or Huraas Alhuriya in Arabic, they still have some sympathy in the region in which they started in that being the Farigh region. Though in the Peoples museum They are shown as War criminals. However after said revolt The governemnt of Syliria reformed its economy becoming more Pro small business, Giving the majority of its farmland to Sylirias Rural People's. Eventually these economic Reforms Proved Successful as Syliria soon entered a sort of period of prosperity however This new found Freedom was dangerous for the Sylirian Regime, the Haqiqatist Government Kept some major industries and companies such as Al-Haqiqa, Syliria's news network and Al-Binzin, Syliria's Oil company,In 1998 Syliria was Accused of Having WMDS At the time the nations leader Amir Al-Fawaz responded that WMDs in Syliria did not exist, pointing out that this was a ploy by Western nations to invade Syliria for its more Socialist stance, however nothing came of it as A coalition of western aircraft carriers and cruisers where outside Syliria's martime border waiting to strike, Though Searches by the LON determined they didn't exist and left Syliria Alone. The Sanctions where Lifted and eventually normal Economic activity resumed. However this scare led to a increased budget in Syliria's military and modernize them as their equipment was currently severily outdated dating back to the 1960s. This reform of the military Also saw a tighter Grip on its society. Syliria's police force was slowly faded out for a more militaristic approach the Alwasi Haqaqitun or Guardians of the truth a paramilitary group in Syliria became more prevelent in The nation as opposed to a police force, and served also a secret police being founded in 2005. In later years Syliria would become more totalitarian, oppositional leaders mostly live outside the nation mostly in burgundie, In recent times Syliria has started mega projects in architecture and culture to better create a good image for tourist, as many complain of the Armed men in the streets. Though Syliria's current Regime has no big opposition inside its Nation, Rumors of WMDS still remain currently as it is a active problem in the LON.

Ancient Syliria

Syliria was first setlled in 10,000 bc by 3 main Tribes, those being the Sabitrik, the Artar, and the Trovoq, these tribes eventually Formed the Ancient Sylirian civillization which has no real current name and was named by Historians as They arent sure what it was names originally, all the ruins in Syliria couldnt have been studied by western scientist as they werent allowed in Syliria, and the language couldnt have been studied, its alphabet is unique to the region despite that the language is considered dead. It is believed that the fertile coast of Syliria and some of its inland would have caused the Ancient Sylirian civillization to rise. what we know comes from the ruins left behind now tourist hot spots for western Tourist. It is widely believed to be one of the first civillizations. it seems like this civillization formed Laws by this time and Classical Sylirian Civillization started. Not much is known about this time as Syliria's language and history of this time was majority lost and most of things known about it are just theories by Western Scientist but according to the current Sylirian government claims that Syliria's ancient civillization developed Writing during this time and also developed Great projects and wonders which they preach about in tourist tours.

Islamic Age

Syliria during the islamic age was under the Oduniyyad caliphate During this time The caliphate Often stopped in Syliria for pilgrimage and set the city of Haqiqatun in Syliria As a holy site Which is important in the Sunni islamic religion. However despite this Syliria was just the name for the  south west coast of puktunistan in the caliphate, as one of the first nations to fall to the caliphate. this is also when Syliria was arabized and quickly became a muslim nation

Kingdom of Syliria

During the era of the kingdom of Syliria Was under the Ahmed dynasty which lasted until 1632 when the Kingdom was turned into a mandate of the burgoingonesc colonial empire, before that however it was a popular site for Pilgrimage and a trade hub for neighboring muslim nations due to this. The Trade between Neighboring Muslim nations Increasibly helped Syliria become more developed, despite this it wasnt as developed as other neighboring nations, The royal family kept the vast majority of its profits from trade. The Kingdom of Syliria was briefly re-established for a small period between 1889-1928 after independence The reasoning for its overthrow was due to The Royal Families neglect of The common sylirian. The Royal Family was executed and the republic was born.

Colonial Era

Syliria was later colonized by burgundie, As a colonial possesion and one of the smallest ones it wasnt considered as valuable but still was kept as Sylirian resistance was must easier to destroy than The rest of burgundies colonies, As one of the last colonies of Burgundie it remained in contact with the nation after colonization, coming back once again as a Kingdom, However Sylirian Christians where still few in number despite colonization, the main goal in colonizating Syliria was for its Mines in the west.

Era of the Republic

After the overthrow of the monarchy Syliria became a Democratic republic with 4 main parties, The conservative Party, The Liberal Party and the Salafist party, also a Socialist party. most either represented the main interest of the state while a small amount represented the interest of ethnic groups within Syliria, The party which held power the most was the Conservative party which often was in power over the liberal party of Syliria, aswell as the Socialist party of Syliria had a bit of traction aswell with some Anti western Sentiment, A salafist party also was relatively popular, during this time the Government of Syliria developed Syliria, turning it to be somewhat industriulized with profits from mining and trade, however Syliria was still held back by An oligarchial system which controlled The Government and actively look money for itself, eventually however Due to such negliglance for the public It was overthrown by Mabesh Al-Fawaz, a general in the Sylirian military in 1957.

Haqiqatist era

After the Overthrow of the Free Republic Syliria was under the Haqiqatist party, Who during the beggining of its Rule was Socialist and was led by mabesh Al-Fawaz, he later died in 1971 leading his Son Amir to lead, During Sylirias time as a Socialist Nation it wasnt very friendly with western states often even refusing trade with them, The states it did trade with where little and Syliria had a era of isolationalism and still fell into a Oligarchial State, After Amir took power Syliria's Government took a different approach as They had to Deal with Rebels in the west, in the late 70s Syliria Transitioned into a More Capitalistic economy, while the government still owned the vast majority of important industry such as Oil and TV networks, Amir allowed for the local farmers to cultivate their own land, giving land to them in a land reform where they could sell in local markets and internationally, Amir also opened up more to the west, And had major reforms in corruption as they transitioned from a oligarchial state as They suffered major resistance from the populance a islamic renaissance would start in Syliria in the late 60s and 70s As Salafi's would preach to the hungry people of Syliria, however this would end once Syliria's economy stabilized in the 80s, the rebels would also end in the 80s as they Would be eliminated and their sentiment no longer existed among the people in the west most province, in the 1990s Syliria would experience A crisis in which they where Accused of having WMDS, however it was lated found by the LON that they didnt have any after throughrough inspection, After this Event Syliria would develop a bigger Military budget aswell as a secret police force and paramilitary group which would replace the police, their grip amongst the populace would tigthen, In 2008 Amir Al-Fawaz died his son Fayez Al-Fawaz and current leader of Syliria would take control, he focused on more on his cult of personality and Cultural and tourist projects as his father left him a lot to work with, Despite economic reform Syliria still is relatively not too rich, only having enough to feed their populance but not enough to live well.

Geography

Syliria is a relatively flat Nation with Mountains in the West with a coast down south in the pukthun Sea, Down south Syliria is Home to fertile Plains which are used as Farmland and are believed to be where Sylirian Civillization originated in. as there are no rivers in Syliria. Syliria is also home to the Al-Safra desert, which covers the vast majority of the Nation up north, which is mostly dry but the government of Syliria is working on man made projects to make the land there more fertile and greener,

Climate and environment

Sylirian Climate is mostly considered semi arid and arid and dry, however the south has more Arable land and fertile Steppes which is mostly used for Farmland, The north east is home to the Al-safra desert while the west is part of the Shar mountain range.
