UCFA consists of 31 full member associations, including both sovereign nations and dependent territories whose home nations are located in different continents. It runs club competitions, such as the UCFA Champions League, UCFA League of Crona, and the UCFA Super Cup, along with national competitions, such as the UCFA Cronan Championship, the UCFA League of Nations, and the Cronan qualifying matches for the WAFF World Cup.

The Union of Cronan Football Associations was established on August 12, 1961 in Alstin City, consisting of six founding members: Alstin, Arcerion, Kiravia, Paulastra, Porlos, and Tierrador. The first UCFA Cronan Championship, which was organized two weeks later in September of 1961, resulted in Arcerion defeating Alstin, 3–1 in Kurst. For most of its existence, UCFA was mainly locked within South Crona, as North and Central Crona was politically dominated by the Varshani sphere of influence, whom had deepened political tensions with the south throughout the 20th century. Regardless, that barrier would eventually be broken in 1976, when Kelekona, a main Varshani vassal which had been ravaged by the Fourth Bush War, announced its intent to join the UCFA, a move orchestrated by both the Arcer and Kelekonese governments to further integrate the country within the Arcer sphere of influence. During the late 1960s to early 1970s, the UCFA would add Austro-Caldera in 1964, The Cape and Ceylonia in 1968, Malentina and Canespa in 1970, Istrenya in 1977, and Netansett in 1980.
