Also known as the One Month War, the inappropriately-named Malokan Month's War is an ongoing military conflict which began on January 15, 2021 between the Cronan nation of Algoquona and the Levantine power of Faneria.

Background

Faneria's Third Outer Seas Squadron, a naval force meant to escort land forced to link up with the Cape's forces in (censewhatever) in their contemporary war against Varshan. The initial explanation given was navigational issues compounded by instruments not being calibrated with the varied long-range magnetosphere in mind', but regardless of the reason, the 37th Rhon Cotian made an amphibious landing in the city of ______ on January 15, overrunning the local garrison overnight.

- bits on urcean wars and Algoquonan rise to power after Northern Confederation collapsed

- malki were briefly a colonized part of ______ but later abandoned and reverted to tribal rule, then conquered by Northern Confed.

- many Algosh became local monopolies or high-ranking officials through force or skill, creating a large underrepresented Malki underclass

Landings and Algosh Rout

The war began with the deployment of the Fhainnin Outser Seas' Third Squadron, a task force composed of several cruisers, destroyers, and attendant transports centered around the light carrier __________. The task force was ostensibly meant to support operations against Varshani and associated Cronan forces in the wider Final War of the Deluge, namely by landing army support elements and supporting the anti-submarine warfare capabilities of the Cape.

and neutral shipping 'accidentally' landed army troops in Maloka territory, and decided to fan out and take second largest local city anyways. Several days, later, most Algosh forces fighting Urcea in their own campaign in eastern Algoquona, and Malki community leaders negotiate to become a protectorate of Faneria and incite local militias ro rise up in force

Declaration of War and Status Quo

- technologically superior Fhainnin, with tribal auxiliaries and ari/sea fire support, rout local Algosh garrison in capital city; Fhainnin have to step in to put down a pogrom against Algosh and several thousand are escorted out of Malki territory.

- declaration of war finally arrives Feb. 3rd, when cleanup is occurring - military decides not to push further because no resource value in other land and it makes an easy buffer against other Algosh forces. one division remains behind to guard while the other moves on with most of the naval forces (sans a pair of destroyers) to assist in the Cape's war
