Rethys III was a member of the House of Suthar-Màrtainn and briefly held the crown of [[Fhainnaeran|Fhainnlannachaeran]] for several months in 1713. He died of an unspecified illness shortly after his coronation, which was considered unsurprising as he had been more sickly than his two brothers.
