The Maritime Executive (Kiravic: Vekturora Farakrāstá) is the Collegiate executive of the Kiravian government responsible for the Federacy's maritime policy, including matters such as civil navigation and the merchant marine, fisheries policy, regulation of Kiravian territorial waters and continental shelf rights, and state-sponsored meteorological, oceanographic, and marine-biological research. The Maritime Executive also has significant responsibilities related to the administration of Kiravia's minor overseas island territories, as well as management of coastal public lands used for lighthouse/warning beacon or conservation purposes.

Historically, the Maritime Executive was responsible for the Kiravian Navy, as well as broad policy areas such as international trade, customs, and colonial policy.

Maritime Cutter Service (Kiravic: Faragorix Kētterterma) is the enforcement and operations arm of the Maritime Executive, responsible for maintaining security, safety, and the rule of law in Kiravian waters. The Cutter Service functions as a coast guard, federal marine police force, and naval auxiliary. One of the federal uniformed services, the Maritime Cutter Service is considered a branch of the Kiravian Armed Forces, and its personnel receive military benefits and are supposed to be accorded combatant status in wartime. The Cutter Service provides sea and air transportation and other forms of logistical, operational, and technical support to other Maritime Executive agencies.

Federal Lighthouse Service

The Federal Lighthouse Service maintains warning lights, fog signals, and navigational buoys in Kiravian waters. Although the FLS's primary duties in the electronic age are the placement of new signals and the repair of existing ones, the Service continues ot employ some 184 lighthouse keepers serving in remote locations, especially in the Federacy's overseas possessions, as well as a fleet of nine lightships providing navigational aid in perillous arctic waters. The Federal Lighthouse Service has a rather extensive property portfolio of islands, rocks, reefs, and seaside cliffs where its markers are located, and owns more islands than any federal agency save the Federal Lands Administration.

Federal Lacunal-Fluvial Navigation Administration

A major power granted to the federal government under the Fundamental Statute is to regulate interstate commerce. The Federal Lacunal-Fluvial Navigation Administration is responsible for regulating civil navigation on the Federacy's interstate internal waters, including navigable rivers such as the Coïn, Sorbón, and Sethryn, and large lakes, namely the Inland Seas of Arenica, where most of the agency's activities are concentrated. The FLFNA undertakes dredging and other civil engineering projects to keep the inland waterways navigable, enforces Federal regulations for fluvial craft, and maintains a number of canals, the largest of which is the Interlacunal Canal linking the Inland Seas of Arenica.
