North Solis is a geographical region located on the east central corner of Sarpedon. It shares land borders with Slaconia to the immediate south, Avamax to the west, Manuncia to the northwest, and the Founders Sea to the east. North Solis features a population of 94 million, concentrated on the east coast and on Lake Pelleus in the west.

Like the rest of East Sarpedon, North Solis was subject to Istroyan rule before the 1st century AD, but the Sarpic migration around the 1st-4th centuries had turned a massive portion of North Solis into a Sarpic-speaking region by the end of the migration period. Regardless, North Solis remained under the influence of the Istroyans and Caphirians, but would later be challenged by the Oduniyyad Caliphate. North Solis was later caught in the midst of the Crusades, in which Sarpedonian Catholic armies pushed the Caliphate out of Sarpedon and restored the Christian Istroya. North Solis was then split between control of Istroyan Empire and Empire of Ekelos until the 14th century. Since then, North Solis united and has existed as a Sarpic-Istroyan region.

Geography

North Solis is located on the east central tip of Sarpedon, it being the easternmost region of the continent. It is a geographically diverse region, with the Pruchytsa Mountains running through the middle of the region, and the Amyros Mountains running parallel to the eastern coast. North Solis features many rivers along the inland areas, the most prominant being the Crasder River on the borderlands with Slaconia. North Solis also shares one-third of Lake Pelleus.

The coastal regions of North Solis feature a humid subtropical climate, while the rest of the region is a subtropical dry summer climate. The summer months of North Solis are December, January, and February, and are very hot and humid. Fall and winter occurs from March to August, and are characterized as mild. Rainfall is evenly distributed throughout the year, with a yearly average of 1,100 millimeters.
